A video directed, filmed, and edited by Joshua Wiersma. This video served as a central component of a university advancement campaign that raised nearly $750,000 for student scholarships and other needs.

KBTC - Part of Your Community
KBTC - Part of Your Community represents the culminating project of Joshua's Marketing & Promotions Internship at KBTC Public Television, the PBS affiliate station for Tacoma, Wash.
For this project, Joshua was tasked with identifying and telling the story of KBTC from the perspective of an outsider, as to provide a fresh new look at the station and its role in the community.
To accomplish this task, Joshua set up, conducted, and recorded interviews with staff and community members. After compiling the footage, he edited together this piece so the KBTC story could be shared to a wider audience both locally, and abroad.
The Doty Group: 2017 Recruitment Video
A video filmed by Joshua Wiersma for the Tacoma, Wash. based accounting firm, The Doty Group. The video aimed to boost employee recruitment through the use of humor, as well as spotlight the Doty Group's unique workplace atmosphere.
This film aimed to investigate threats to rivers and watersheds throughout North America and to encourage awareness, environmental stewardship, and advocate for increased public dialogue about threats to our waterways. It debuted in Tacoma. Wash. in November of 2016.
Most recently, in 2018, Joshua was the Director of Photography and Editor for the award-winning documentary mini-series A World of Difference, which aimed to explore perceptions regarding difference in four distinct locales throughout North America. This series debuted in Seattle in February of 2018, and is currently being distributed through Vimeo Pro.
In addition to student documentary work, Joshua serves as Director of Photography and Editor on an upcoming series entitled TinyDocs which will explore intriguing topics in the Pacific Northwest region and attempt to share those stories in five minutes or less.
